International Women’s Day celebrated on a wide scale

Today, a festive event dedicated to "8 March – International Women’s Day" was held at the "Oq qush" complex in Nukus.

At the beginning of the event, Amanbay Orynbaev, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, addressed the gathering and congratulated those present on the occasion of the holiday.

The event was attended by T. Khudaybergenov, Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan, and F. Ermanov, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

This was followed by an award ceremony for a group of women. In recognition of their contribution to strengthening the independence of our country, enhancing its socio-economic potential, and educating the younger generation in the spirit of devotion to the Motherland and universal values, a number of women were presented with the "Ardaqli nuraniy", "Ibratli hayal", "Watan pidayisi", and "Umit ushqini" badges, the "Mo‘tabar ayol" badge of the Family and Women’s Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Certificate of Honour of the Council of Ministers.

The celebration continued with a concert programme performed by artists and cultural figures.

The festive concert programme gave participants a joyful and uplifting mood.
