Hemodialysis centres set to open soon in Karakalpakstan
Hemodialysis is a method of artificially cleansing the blood with the help of a machine when the kidneys are no longer able to perform their function, whether due to acute or chronic kidney failure.
Using an "artificial kidney" machine, it removes toxins, urea, excess fluid and electrolytes from the blood, helps prevent intoxication of the body, and saves lives.
To make treatment with an artificial kidney machine more accessible for patients, it was planned to establish branches of the foreign enterprise LLC "NEPHROCARE HEALTH SERVICES CENTRAL ASIA" in Beruniy and Kungrad Districts under a public-private partnership, with an investment of US$500,000.
Accordingly, construction work is under way on hemodialysis centres in these two districts, equipment is being installed, and all necessary conditions are being created for patients.
These two facilities will soon be commissioned for the benefit of the public.
