Festive celebrations dedicated to the nationwide holiday of Navruz were held

This year, Navruz is being celebrated in a particularly uplifting spirit under the slogan “To glorify Navruz is to glorify humanity!”, in accordance with a resolution adopted by our esteemed President.

On March 21 of this year, in the city of Nukus, along the “Dustlik” canal on National and Cultural Heritage Street of Uzbekistan, theatricalized and literary, musical, and choreographic performances were held in honor of the nationwide holiday of Navruz.

The event was attended by Presidential Adviser T. Khudaybergenov, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orynbayev, members of the government, and representatives of the general public.

In his welcoming address, the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes congratulated the people on the holiday of renewal, awakening, and spiritual purification—Navruz.

It is worth noting that at the venue of the celebrations, masters of the arts and representatives of the cultural sphere—singers, bakhshi and zhyrau performers, musicians, and artists—created a festive atmosphere through their performances.

The audience highly appreciated the productions that reflected the national customs and traditions of fraternal peoples, as well as the performances of national dances and songs, traditional folk games, and the remarkable artistry of the bakhshi and zhyrau performers.
