Socio-Economic Development of Kungrad District Comes Under Close Scrutiny

The Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbaev, convened a meeting dedicated to the socio-economic development of the Kungrad district, bringing key priorities and persistent challenges into sharp focus.
Discussions highlighted the wide range of opportunities and incentives introduced under the leadership of the country’s President, aimed at increasing household incomes, improving livelihoods, and raising overall living standards. Particular attention was given to support measures designed to expand employment—especially among the unemployed, socially vulnerable groups, and young people.
The meeting went on to critically assess the progress of ongoing efforts across several fronts, including comprehensive regional development, poverty reduction, job creation, implementation of investment projects, and initiatives to improve living conditions and urban infrastructure.
At the same time, shortcomings in execution were openly addressed. Instances of negligence and lack of diligence by certain officials drew pointed criticism, reflecting concerns over gaps between policy and implementation.
As a result, instructions were issued to impose disciplinary measures on officials who failed in their duties, with the possibility of reviewing their suitability for their current positions if deemed necessary.
