The Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbaev, held a meeting with a group of young athletes as part of Youth Day events, underscoring the growing emphasis on sports as a pillar of national development.
During the meeting, Orynbaev highlighted the priority given to sports by the country’s President, noting that the sector has become a key focus of state policy in recent years. Alongside broader reforms, large-scale efforts are underway to strengthen the nation’s sporting infrastructure and cultivate the next generation of talent.
In a relatively short period, numerous modern sports facilities have been built, with more currently under construction. At the same time, systematic work is ongoing to ensure thorough preparation for the Olympic Games, including the identification and training of promising young athletes who will represent the country on the international stage. The expanding opportunities and improved conditions, he noted, are already serving as a powerful source of motivation for athletes striving for excellence.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for open dialogue. Orynbaev spoke with athletes, as well as their families and coaches, listening closely to their concerns, suggestions, and aspirations.
Following the discussions, relevant officials were given clear instructions to promptly address the issues raised and to provide practical support where needed.
