A mass participation marathon was held in Nukus today

The event brought together a wide range of participants, including professional athletes, students, young people, and even children from kindergartens.
The award ceremony for the winners was attended by Amanbay Orynbayev, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
It was emphasized that in recent years, under the leadership of the country’s President, significant attention has been given to the development of physical culture and sports, the promotion of mass participation in athletics, and encouraging young people to lead active lifestyles. Large-scale initiatives have been implemented in this area.
Today’s marathon was one such initiative, attracting more than 5,000 participants, including athletes, military personnel, university students, and local residents ranging in age from 7 to 70.
Such events play an important role in promoting a healthy lifestyle and improving public well-being.
At the conclusion of the marathon, the top finishers were awarded medals and valuable prizes.
