The foundation stone has been laid in Nukus for a new building of the University of Innovative Technologies

Under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan, systematic efforts are ongoing to advance the education sector and create favorable conditions for nurturing a well-rounded younger generation. Particular emphasis is being placed on expanding the network of educational institutions and improving the overall quality of instruction.
Alongside state universities, the number of non-governmental educational institutions continues to grow steadily, fostering a more competitive environment and encouraging the adoption of modern teaching methodologies.
As part of these efforts, construction has officially begun on a new campus for the University of Innovative Technologies in Nukus, marked by a foundation stone-laying ceremony.
The event was attended by M. Atamuratov, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan; K. Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan; and B. Otemuratov, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers.
According to the project, the total cost of the academic complex is estimated at $10 million. The university will have the capacity to accommodate up to 10,000 students. The campus will include a dormitory for 1,000 residents, a sports hall, specialized facilities, and modern academic and laboratory buildings.
The new university is expected to expand access to quality higher education and become a key component of the region’s educational infrastructure.
