Information on the Tenth Session of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan

On April 6 of the current year, the tenth session of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan was held. The session was attended by members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, members of the Government, heads of republican agencies, representatives of the mass media, as well as deputies of the Jokargy Kenes.
At the beginning of the session, the national anthems of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Karakalpakstan were performed. The session was opened and chaired by the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbaev, who delivered the opening remarks. The meeting was broadcast live on the “Karakalpakstan” television channel.
The first item on the agenda concerned the broad dissemination among the population of information on the reforms being implemented in all sectors in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
In his address, the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes focused on the large-scale constructive efforts carried out in recent years owing to the special attention given to Karakalpakstan by the esteemed President.
Subsequently, a report on this matter was delivered by Sh. Utemisov, Chairman of the Committee of the Jokargy Kenes, who provided a detailed overview of the ongoing development initiatives in the country. The issue was comprehensively reviewed by the deputies, and a corresponding resolution was adopted.
The session then considered the report of the Prosecutor of the Republic of Karakalpakstan on the work carried out in 2025 to protect citizens’ rights, prevent crime, and combat criminal activity. The report was presented by Prosecutor Sh. Aminov. The matter was thoroughly discussed, and an appropriate resolution was adopted.
Following this, Acting Minister of Transport of the Republic of Karakalpakstan B. Seitmuratov addressed the session on the results of a parliamentary inquiry sent to the Ministry of Transport regarding the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Karakalpakstan “On Urban Passenger Transport” and relevant government resolutions. The issue was considered, and a resolution was adopted.
The session also heard a report by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, E. Tursunov, on the state of rule-making activities at the local level, law enforcement practices, as well as legal advocacy and public legal education in 2025. This matter was fully reviewed, and a corresponding resolution was adopted.
The next item on the agenda was the report on the results of a parliamentary inquiry addressed to the territorial department of the Cadastre Agency of the Republic of Karakalpakstan concerning the unlawful use of land plots by individuals and legal entities, as well as measures to prevent corruption among employees. The report was presented by I. Tleuov, Head of the Cadastre Agency Department. The issue was considered, and a resolution was adopted.
Thereafter, L. Seitova, Chairperson of the Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, presented a report on the committee’s activities for 2025. The matter was fully reviewed, and a resolution was adopted.
The session also heard a report by A. Isakov, Head of the Main Department of the Central Bank of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, on the work carried out in 2025. The issue was considered, and a resolution was adopted.
Within the framework of the agenda, the session reviewed the issue of approving lists of citizens granted lease rights to unauthorized occupied land plots, as well as ownership rights to buildings and structures erected thereon. Based on the relevant law of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the lists of 1,793 citizens were approved by resolution of the session.
The next item concerned the approval of relevant resolutions of the Presidium of the Jokargy Kenes. This issue was also comprehensively considered.
Upon completion of the consideration of the agenda items, the deputies adopted the relevant resolution.
With this, the tenth session of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan concluded its work.
