A charity campaign titled “We Give a Smile” is being held in the city of Nukus.

At the initiative of the leadership of the Administration, from April 5 to 12 of the current year, a charitable campaign is taking place at the Clinic of Children’s Diseases of the Aral Sea region, under the National Children’s Medical Center in Nukus, with the participation of the international foundation “We Give a Smile.”
As part of the initiative, a multi-stage selection of young patients from socially vulnerable groups of the population was carried out. At the first stage, specialists of the National Children’s Medical Center examined more than 2,000 children, of whom over 270 were selected for further evaluation.
Each of these patients underwent a medical examination by a world-renowned plastic surgeon with 40 years of experience, Hasan Baiev.
Following the examinations, younger children requiring surgical intervention were selected. They were hospitalized at the specialized clinic of the Aral Sea region under the National Children’s Medical Center.
In total, more than 70 surgical operations are planned to be performed as part of this charitable campaign.
Importantly, in addition to surgeries for children with congenital cleft lip and palate, other unique procedures are also being carried out within the framework of the campaign. In particular, reconstructive surgeries are being performed for young patients with the absence of the auricle, restoring this organ.
