Heads of UN Agencies in Uzbekistan Visit Karakalpakstan

On April 16 of this year, a meeting was held in the city of Nukus between the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbaev, and the heads of United Nations agencies operating in our country.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes provided detailed information on the opportunities created for Karakalpakstan based on decisions and decrees adopted at the initiative of our respected President. He also highlighted the ongoing measures aimed at enhancing the country’s investment potential and creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurs.

In addition, the parties exchanged views on the socio-economic development of Karakalpakstan, improving the welfare of the population, and long-term plans for the further development of the region.

Furthermore, discussions were held on projects being implemented with the financial support of UN agencies in Uzbekistan, as well as grant-funded initiatives, which serve as important drivers of regional development. Particular attention was given to strengthening partnership relations.

During the meeting, the guests expressed their gratitude to the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes for the warm welcome and noted that cooperation within the framework of joint activities would continue to develop further.
