Regional Development and Employment of the Population — In the Focus of Attention

R. Nurazizov, Deputy Chairman of the Jokargy Kenges of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, visited the Turtkul district, where he reviewed the progress of project implementation and activities in the socio-economic sphere.

During the visit, the functioning of the social services complex for the population in the mahalla "Shodlik" was examined, as well as the activities of the training center "Mushtariy DSJN" operating under it. Furthermore, the experience of a young entrepreneur, Mukhayyo Komilova, who, utilizing a preferential loan in the amount of 100 million sums under Presidential Resolution No. 62, established a garment manufacturing operation, was considered. Based on the outcomes of the visit, recommendations were issued to the hokim's assistant regarding the organization of employment for unemployed women of the mahalla through home-based work.

The Deputy Chairman of the Jokargy Kenges also thoroughly reviewed the activities of LLC "Baraka Textile Group," located on the territory of the mahalla "Guliston." The enterprise employs 180 people on a permanent basis. In 2025, products worth over 21 billion sums were manufactured here, while exports amounted to 1.7 million US dollars.

Subsequently, the operations of the district sports school were examined — attention was paid to the conditions created for youth engagement. During an open and substantive dialogue with the activists of the mahalla "Beruniy," issues related to improving the well-being of the population were discussed.

Such on-site assessments undoubtedly contribute to identifying local "growth points," supporting entrepreneurship, and ensuring a sustainable improvement in the standard of living of the population.
