The World Bank Allocated a Grant in the Amount of 120,000 US Dollars to Support Women's Entrepreneurial Initiatives

Within the framework of the project "Rural Enterprise Development – Second Phase," implemented in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the World Bank has directed grant funds amounting to 120,000 US dollars to support women's business initiatives.
In the first stage of the second phase of the project, 40,000 dollars have been allocated to each of three districts — Muynak, Kanlykul, and Bozatau. These funds will be used to finance over 100 women's entrepreneurial projects. Each participant will receive the necessary financial support in accordance with the scale and requirements of her business plan.
With the allocated funds, the development of key sectors such as garment manufacturing, livestock farming, greenhouse cultivation, bakery production, as well as the provision of medical and educational services to the population, is planned in the regions.
Within the framework of the total grant program amounting to 600,000 US dollars envisaged for the second phase of the project, four additional stages are planned for implementation. These measures are expected to create hundreds of new jobs in rural areas and contribute to raising the standard of living of the population.
