Information on the Eleventh Session of the Jokargy Kenges of the Republic of Karakalpakstan

On April 20 of the current year, the eleventh session of the Jokargy Kenges (Supreme Council) of the Republic of Karakalpakstan took place. The meeting was attended by members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis (Supreme Assembly) of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government, heads of republican sectoral agencies, representatives of mass media, as well as deputies of the Jokargy Kenges.

At the outset of the meeting, the national anthems of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Karakalpakstan were performed. The session was opened with an introductory address and chaired by Amanbay Orynbaev, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenges of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The meeting was broadcast live by the "Karakalpakstan" television channel.

The first item on the agenda was the consideration of amendments and additions to the composition of the committees of the Jokargy Kenges of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

With regard to this item, due to the election of Islambek Makhsetovich Niyazov as a deputy of the Jokargy Kenges from the "Khojeyli" Electoral District No. 37, changes were introduced to the composition of the Committee on Industry, Construction, Transport, and Information Technologies. Following deliberations, the deputies adopted a corresponding resolution.

The next item on the agenda was the election of the Chairman of the Committee on Industry, Construction, Transport, and Information Technologies of the Jokargy Kenges. On this matter, the candidacy of Deputy Islambek Makhsetovich Niyazov was proposed.

Following deliberations, the deputies adopted a corresponding resolution, and I. Niyazov was elected Chairman of the aforementioned committee.

Subsequently, the agenda addressed the issue of the implementation of measures for the development of tourism in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. A report on this matter was delivered by R. Zarikeev, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan for Tourism, Culture, Cultural Heritage, and Mass Communications.

This issue was thoroughly examined, and a corresponding resolution was adopted.

The next agenda item was the consideration of the report by the Head of the Administration of the Association of Mahallas of the Republic of Karakalpakstan on the local implementation of Presidential Resolution No. 402 of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Additional Measures to Organize the Activities of the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan and to Improve the Governance System in Mahallas." The report was presented by S. Turmanov, Head of the Administration of the Association of Mahallas of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

The issue was examined, and a corresponding resolution was adopted.

Also during the session, the issue of approving the list of citizens whose lease rights to voluntarily occupied land plots, as well as whose ownership rights to buildings and structures erected thereon, are recognized was considered.

In accordance with a special law of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a list of 322 citizens whose aforementioned rights are recognized was approved.

Furthermore, the agenda included the consideration of the approval of relevant resolutions of the Presidium of the Jokargy Kenges.

Following the discussion, the deputies adopted a corresponding resolution.

Thereupon, the eleventh session of the Jokargy Kenges of the Republic of Karakalpakstan concluded its work.
