A Modern Pumping Station Commissioned in Bozatau District

In accordance with Presidential Resolution No. 4912 of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a project has been implemented to install NDN-24 pumping units with a capacity of 3 m³ per second on a section of the Amu Darya River passing through the territory of Bozatau District.
Today, an official ceremony was held to mark the commissioning of the new modern pumping station. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Water Resources, the district khokimiyat, respected elders, farmers, and mahalla activists.
As noted, the project plays an important role in the further development of the region’s infrastructure, improving sanitary conditions, and creating comfortable living conditions for the population.
As a result of the installation of the pumping units, the supply of running water will significantly improve: 1,500 residents of the district will gain access to water supply for 210 hectares of household plots, 2,800 hectares of irrigated land, and 3,500 hectares of pasture.
A total of 13.2 billion soums has been allocated for the implementation of the project since the beginning of construction. Currently, the units are maintained in proper working condition by the Pumping Stations and Energy Administration of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and ensure the water needs of the area.
