In Honor of the 100th Anniversary of Kallibek Kamalov

Today, the opening ceremony of the “Three Generations” meeting and a scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the prominent statesman and public figure Kallibek Kamalov was held at the “Oqqush” complex in Nukus. The event took place as part of the celebrations marking May 9 — the Day of Memory and Honor.
The ceremonial event was attended by Tursynkhan Khudaybergenov, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Amanbay Orynbaev, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, representatives of the public, labor veterans, government and public figures, as well as youth representatives.
During the speeches, it was particularly emphasized that today’s peace and prosperity are the result of the selfless labor and devoted service to the Motherland of many worthy sons of the nation. Kallibek Kamalov was rightfully recognized as one of such outstanding individuals, whose services to the country and the people are held in deep respect and recognition among the multinational people of Uzbekistan.
It was noted that, thanks to his profound knowledge, high professionalism, and exceptional organizational skills, Kallibek Kamalov made a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the country, leaving behind a worthy life and professional legacy.
At the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a special resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers was adopted and a comprehensive program of events was approved in order to widely celebrate the 100th anniversary of the respected veteran.
The conference held today became one of the important practical steps toward the implementation of this program.
As part of the event, participants spoke in detail about Kallibek Kamalov’s many years of fruitful activity and his services to the state and the people. Speakers also shared memories of his life, career, and personal qualities.
At the conclusion of the event, a memorial dastarkhan was organized in honor of the late statesman.
