Important Agreements Reached During China Visit

The delegation of Karakalpakstan, currently on a working visit to the People’s Republic of China, held another round of meetings during the course of its stay, including discussions with Lin Wing, Chairman of the Xinjiang Federation of Private Entrepreneurs.

During the meeting, Amanbay Orynbaev, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes, provided detailed information on the existing potential of Karakalpakstan, its investment opportunities, and invited Xinjiang-based entrepreneurs to cooperate and implement joint projects in the region.

Subsequently, negotiations were held with the heads of several companies in areas such as aquaculture and fish farming in artificial reservoirs, cultivation and processing of cotton raw materials, processing of licorice root and production of traditional Chinese medicine products, construction of turnkey production facilities using credit financing from Chinese banks, activities in the field of mining and cryptocurrency, training of medical personnel, and the organization of healthcare services.

During the meetings, information was also presented on measures implemented on the initiative of the respected President of the country aimed at supporting entrepreneurship in Karakalpakstan and further improving the region’s investment climate.

As a result of the negotiations, agreements were reached on the implementation of projects worth a total of 227 million US dollars in the fields of mining and cryptocurrency activities, gas condensate processing, production of metal structures and construction materials, trade, import-export operations, and logistics.

In addition, China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., a company specializing in heavy and specialized machinery, announced its decision to open an official service branch in Karakalpakstan.
