Agreement Reached on Supply of 54 Modern Electric Buses to Karakalpakstan

As is known, the delegation of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, led by Amanbay Orynbaev, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, is currently on a working visit to the People’s Republic of China on the instruction of the country’s leadership.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured the major company Sichuan Zhongzhi Shenghe Performance Co., Ltd., which specializes in the production of public transport vehicles.

During the meeting with the company’s management, discussions were held on the supply of 54 electric buses to the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as charging equipment for them from China.

The parties also exchanged views on modernizing the public transport system, introducing environmentally friendly vehicles, and developing transport infrastructure.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to implement a project worth 10 million US dollars, which provides for the delivery of 54 electric buses and charging equipment to the Republic of Karakalpakstan by August 1, 2026.
