Business Forum “China (Sichuan) – Uzbekistan (Karakalpakstan)” Organized

The official visit of the delegation of the Republic of Karakalpakstan to the People’s Republic of China continues to yield practical results. As part of the trip aimed at expanding bilateral economic cooperation, the business forum “China (Sichuan) – Uzbekistan (Karakalpakstan)” was organized.
The event was attended by Wang Guangjun, Deputy Chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, as well as more than 150 major Chinese investors and entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the forum, Amanbay Orynbaev, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, highlighted the special attention the country’s leadership is giving to the Aral Sea region, the favorable investment climate created in the region, and the wide range of special incentives available for businesses.
During the event, representatives of major companies such as “Ji An Tai International Industries” and “China Railway Construction Heavy Industry” highly appreciated the business environment of Karakalpakstan and called on Chinese businesses to actively cooperate with the region.
As a result of the meetings, a number of important agreements were reached aimed at elevating bilateral relations to a new level. In particular, a memorandum was signed with the Global Association for the Development of Economic Cooperation to establish a special office in Nukus for attracting Chinese investors.
In addition, productive negotiations were held with major companies in the fields of livestock farming, fisheries, electrical engineering, geology, agriculture, unmanned aerial vehicle production for defense purposes, and the furniture industry. The parties discussed the placement of production facilities of these enterprises in the territory of Karakalpakstan.
At the conclusion of the forum, an investment package worth 245 million US dollars was signed in the automotive, agro-industrial, and textile sectors.
