Youth to Receive Preferential Loans for Business Development

The President of Uzbekistan has signed a decree titled “On Additional Measures to Ensure Youth Employment Through Support of Entrepreneurial Projects” (PP-210 dated June 1, 2026).
The document provides for the expansion of financial support for young entrepreneurs. In particular, within the framework of the “Youth Business” program, “Aloqabank” JSC will provide preferential loans to citizens under the age of 31 for a period of up to seven years. The grace period for repayment of the principal will be up to one year, while interest payments will have a grace period of up to three months. The loan interest rate will be set at the Central Bank’s base rate plus 4 percentage points.
According to the decree, preferential microloans secured by insurance policies or third-party guarantees will be allocated for the following purposes:
• up to 20 million sum — for financing education in foreign languages, digital technologies, and modern professions;
• up to 50 million sum — for implementing projects in modern professions, including SMM, mobile journalism, freelancing, online store development, and other self-employment activities;
• up to 50 million sum — for home-based work projects, textile production, tailoring, processing and sale of goods, and manufacturing new products from recycled materials;
• up to 100 million sum — for production and sale of bakery and confectionery products.
The maximum amount of preferential microloan under the program will be 100 million sum.
