8 Billion Sum Allocated for Hepatitis A Vaccination of Children in Karakalpakstan

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 8 billion sum have been allocated from the state budget this year to continue the vaccination program for children against viral hepatitis A.

It is worth recalling that on January 27 of last year, Presidential Decree No. 10 was adopted, introducing additional support measures and benefits for the region. As part of its implementation, funds were allocated in 2025 to provide free immunization for children living in Karakalpakstan.

Using budget financing, 47,220 doses of vaccine were purchased. Vaccination covered children from age groups with the highest incidence of hepatitis A.

As a result of these measures, significant improvements have been achieved. Compared to 2024, the overall incidence of viral Hepatitis A among the population decreased by 1.6 times, while among children in the target groups it decreased by 3.7 times.

The program will continue this year as well. It is planned to vaccinate more than 45,000 children in high-risk groups. A set of necessary organizational and preventive measures is already being implemented to ensure its effective execution.
