The event was attended by R. Nurazizov, Deputy Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, who delivered a welcoming address and congratulated participants on the opening of the forum.
It was noted that Uzbekistan is currently implementing a comprehensive range of measures aimed at developing domestic and inbound tourism, enhancing the country’s tourism potential, providing broad support to entrepreneurs and women working in the tourism sector, attracting investment, and ensuring the safety and comfort of visitors. These efforts have contributed to a steady increase in the number of both international and domestic tourists visiting the country.
Special emphasis was placed on further strengthening the longstanding ties among the peoples of Central Asia, who have lived for centuries in a spirit of good-neighborliness and close cooperation.
Participants highlighted the growing tourism potential of Central Asian countries and the region as a whole, which is attracting increasing interest from international visitors. In this process, women entrepreneurs play a particularly important role, making a significant contribution to the development of the tourism industry.
It was emphasized that the current international forum will serve as an important platform for elevating these efforts to a new level, promoting closer cooperation in tourism among Central Asian countries, and facilitating the implementation of joint business initiatives, particularly among women entrepreneurs.
The opening ceremony was followed by a series of business meetings and discussions organized as part of the forum’s program.
