Livestock Training Program Launched in Karakalpakstan

As part of an ongoing nationwide program of practice-oriented training aimed at improving the professional qualifications of livestock specialists, intensive training sessions are being held in Nukus from June 11 to 13 for farmers and livestock professionals from all districts of Karakalpakstan.

The initiative is implemented under the "Financing Sustainable Livestock Development" project, carried out with the participation of the Livestock and Pasture Development Agency and the French Development Agency (AFD). The project aims to promote the sustainable development of the livestock sector by equipping industry professionals with modern theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

During the training sessions, experienced experts and researchers provide participants with in-depth guidance on the key aspects of modern livestock farming. The program covers a range of important topics, including:

• Proper livestock management adapted to the specific climatic and environmental conditions of Karakalpakstan;
• Science-based feeding practices for both beef and dairy cattle;
• Disease prevention and veterinary hygiene standards;
• Modern milking techniques and milk quality control;
• Basic animal first aid and emergency care.

The courses combine classroom instruction with extensive practical training, enabling participants to apply newly acquired knowledge and develop hands-on skills essential for improving productivity and sustainability in the livestock sector.
