Opening of New Amphitheater Brings Celebration to Turtkul District

A festive atmosphere filled Turtkul District as residents gathered for the grand opening of a new amphitheater and the award ceremony for the winners of the "Esar Jayhun Shamollari" National Song Competition, dedicated to the memory of the legendary performer Otajon Khudoyshukurov, whose artistic legacy continues to inspire generations of musicians.
The ceremony was attended by Amanbay Orynbayev, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Addressing the audience, he congratulated local residents on the opening of the district's new cultural landmark and presented awards to the competition's winners.
The construction of the Otajon Khudoyshukurov Amphitheater was initiated following the President of Uzbekistan's visit to Karakalpakstan, during which the proposal to establish a modern cultural venue in Turtkul District received official support. The project was subsequently backed with the necessary funding and implemented according to plan.
Built with an investment of 13 billion sum, the state-of-the-art amphitheater accommodates 2,000 spectators and provides the district with a modern venue for cultural, artistic, and public events. Its completion fulfills a long-standing aspiration of local residents for a dedicated space to host large-scale celebrations and performances.
The celebration also featured the presentation of awards to the winners of the annual "Esar Jayhun Shamollari" competition, an event that plays an important role in preserving and promoting the nation's rich musical heritage while encouraging young vocal talent.
The festivities concluded with a vibrant gala concert featuring renowned performers and distinguished figures from the country's cultural and artistic community.
