Karakalpakstan Delegation Signs Key Agreements at the 2nd Uzbekistan–Korea International Energy Forum

The 2nd Uzbekistan–Korea International Energy Forum (Energy Value Networks Forum), jointly organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and leading energy organizations of the Republic of Korea, has concluded in Tashkent.
The Republic of Karakalpakstan was represented by a delegation led by I. Niyazov, Chairman of the Committee of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
During the two-day international forum, the Karakalpakstan delegation reached a number of important agreements aimed at promoting green economy principles and advanced technologies, as well as transforming the region into a hub for green energy and innovation.
The agreements signed with leading South Korean companies and research institutions mark an important step toward modernizing the region's social infrastructure, improving energy efficiency, and strengthening environmental sustainability.
In particular, an agreement was reached with the Korea Climate Change Institute to implement projects for equipping social infrastructure facilities with solar power systems. An agreement was also signed with ForEMDX to introduce artificial intelligence technologies into the region's energy sector and develop a Smart Grid management system. In addition, together with GoodByeCar, plans are underway to establish infrastructure in Karakalpakstan for the safe disposal of electric vehicle (EV) batteries and their recycling for use as Energy Storage Systems (ESS).
