"Friendship Festival": Takhtakupyr District Celebrates July 30 – People's Friendship Day

A festive event titled the "Friendship Festival" was held today at the Karateren Tourism Center in Takhtakupyr District to mark People's Friendship Day, celebrated annually on July 30.

The celebration was attended by Amanbay Orynbayev, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Addressing the participants, he congratulated residents on the occasion and emphasized that friendship among peoples, interethnic harmony, and mutual respect are fundamental values that underpin peace, stability, and the country's sustainable development.

It was noted that People's Friendship Day and the Friendship Festival are celebrated across Uzbekistan each year in a spirit of unity, solidarity, and mutual respect. Festivities take place in every city and district of the country—from the most remote villages and mahallas to major urban centers. The celebrations feature public festivities, exhibitions organized by national cultural centers, displays of traditional cuisine, and exhibitions of works by artists and master craftsmen.

Today, representatives of the many nationalities living in Uzbekistan are united by a common goal: to contribute through their dedicated work to the continued development of their homeland while strengthening its economic and social potential.
