Renovated Turan Stadium Becomes a Meaningful Independence Day Gift for the People and Football Fans

In recent years, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, large-scale reforms have been implemented across all sectors of the economy and public life. Their practical results include the creation of new jobs and production capacities, as well as the implementation of major infrastructure projects.
Among these developments was the recent commissioning of major facilities across the country, including 12 facilities in Karakalpakstan, under the leadership of the Head of State.
One of them is the Turan football stadium, which was reconstructed at a cost of 117 billion sum and has now been recommissioned.
As part of the reconstruction, in addition to the main football field, two additional football fields, a dormitory for football players, classrooms, a dining hall, a library, fitness and sports halls, service facilities, and a parking area were constructed. As a result, the stadium has been transformed into a specialized sports complex focused on the development of football.
In addition, to ensure that football matches are held in accordance with modern requirements, the stadium has been equipped with the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system, which allows match incidents to be reviewed using video footage to assist referees in making decisions.
The commissioning of the renovated stadium ahead of Independence Day has undoubtedly become a true holiday gift for our people and numerous football fans.
The guests familiarized themselves with the modern facilities and new infrastructure created at the stadium.
