Yangi Uzbekistan Street Commissioned in Kungrad District

The large-scale transformations and development projects taking place across our country today are a practical result of the reforms being implemented on the basis of the opportunities provided by independence and the noble principle “Human Dignity Above All.”
Kungrad District is among the areas where extensive improvement and development work is underway. Ahead of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the renovated Yangi Uzbekistan Street has been commissioned in the district.
At the official opening ceremony, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orynbayev congratulated those gathered on the holiday and the commissioning of the reconstructed road.
As noted, construction work totaling 208 billion sum is currently being carried out across the district under state programs.
Among the projects implemented is the reconstruction of Yangi Uzbekistan Street, carried out in accordance with a special decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. A total of 33 billion sum was allocated for the project. The commissioning of the renovated street has become a meaningful holiday gift for the residents of the district.
As part of the reconstruction, the roadway was widened from 7 to 16 meters and resurfaced with asphalt concrete. Pedestrian and bicycle paths with a total length of 4.1 kilometers were constructed, while dividing barriers and nighttime lighting systems were installed. All the necessary conditions have been created for the comfortable and safe movement of pedestrians and motorists, transforming the street into one of the district’s well-maintained and attractive areas.
Such development and improvement work will undoubtedly continue consistently both in Kungrad District and throughout the republic.
