Slaked Lime Production Plant Begins Operations in Karakalpakstan

As part of the large-scale projects commissioned at the initiative of the President of our country, 12 major facilities have been implemented and launched in Karakalpakstan.
Today, representatives familiarized themselves with the operations of one of these facilities — the first slaked lime production plant in Karakalpakstan, located in the Koybak Rural Citizens’ Assembly of Karauzyak District.
It should be noted that the project was implemented with a total investment of 90.3 billion sum. To date, the enterprise has created 50 jobs for local specialists.
To ensure an uninterrupted production process, the enterprise utilizes the potential of the Karatau deposit, which has significant reserves of raw materials. The plant has a production capacity of 500 tons of lime per day, or 165,000 tons per year.
While slaked lime was previously supplied to the republic from neighboring regions, the product is now manufactured directly in Karakalpakstan and supplied to the domestic market. In the future, plans are in place to establish exports to neighboring countries.
During the visit to the enterprise, the elders spoke with qualified local specialists and familiarized themselves with their working conditions.
