Modern Mahalla Community Services Center Opens in Amudarya District

The 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan is currently being widely celebrated across the country. As part of the festivities, a modern mahalla community services center has been commissioned in the Urtakala settlement of Amudarya District.
The complex was constructed in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Measures to Implement the Sustainable Rural Development Project with the Participation of the Islamic Development Bank and the OPEC Fund for International Development.”
A total of 3.6 billion sum was allocated for the construction of the complex. The center provides facilities for a wide range of services for local residents, including women’s and men’s hair salons, a computer room, a training center, a gym, a sewing workshop, and a bakery.
The new center is designed not only to provide mahalla residents with convenient and high-quality community services, but also to create new jobs and expand employment opportunities, particularly for young people.
The opening of the facility marks another important step toward improving living conditions and further developing social infrastructure in rural areas.
