The international surgical team will perform free operations for 300 patients in need in the Aral Sea region
These days, the Ministry of Health is conducting a Health Improvement Month across the country.
As part of this initiative, state-funded medical services are being provided to help detect diseases early and treat those in need — individuals listed in the social protection registry — right in their local communities.
The international surgical team Al-Amal from the State of Kuwait is also participating in this campaign with their humanitarian mission. This is a practical result of the strengthening friendly cooperation established by the leaders of the two countries.
More than 40 highly qualified foreign specialists have already arrived in the city of Nukus.
The Al-Amal team will stay in the Republic of Karakalpakstan for one week.
During this period, approximately 300 patients — including children, women, and men from the social protection registry who require high-tech surgical procedures — will receive medical care in the Aral Sea region's districts and cities.
In particular, charitable surgeries in various medical fields will be carried out at regional branches of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid, and at specialized centers for cardiology, oncology, radiology, eye microsurgery, as well as multidisciplinary medical centers for adults and children.
All the necessary conditions have been created in the designated medical institutions for this purpose.
