Veterans and War Participants Acknowledged with Presidential Presents
On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Honor, the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbaev, visited the homes of World War II veterans Kadyrbay Normanov and Maria Ivanovna, home front worker Ravshan Samarkanova, and renowned statesman and public figure, Hero of Labor Kallibek Kamalov, and presented them with holiday gifts.
Veterans were warmly congratulated on the nationwide holiday, May 9, the Day of Remembrance and Honor, as well as on the 80th anniversary of Victory over Fascism in World War II. A festive congratulatory message from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was read aloud.
It was noted that the heroic deeds of those who contributed to the Victory, the wartime workers, and those who later devoted themselves to the development of the country, will forever remain in the memory of the people. They will always receive the due attention and respect.
By order of the President, participants of the Second World War were awarded a one-time cash prize of 10 thousand dollars. Cash prizes were also given to other veterans. In addition, veterans received presidential and valuable gifts on behalf of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Council of Ministers, the Northwest Military District, the Hokimiyat of the city of Nukus, and several other organizations.
Undoubtedly, the heroism, resilience, and dedication of our soldiers, including the veterans of the home front and labor heroes, who selflessly served for the benefit of the people, serve as an example for the present and future generations.
