Socio-Economic Development Issues of Kungrad District Widely Discussed

Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbaev, held a meeting with leaders of republican and district organizations dedicated to the development issues of Kungrad district.
At the beginning of the meeting, the tasks outlined in the program for the accelerated and comprehensive development of Kungrad district for 2025–2026, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 132, were thoroughly reviewed.
Main attention was given to the implementation of planned measures for the socio-economic development of the district, poverty reduction, creation of new jobs, ensuring employment of the population, realization of investment projects, and improvement of citizens’ living conditions.

Issues of public amenities and improving the quality of services provided locally were also discussed.
It was emphasized that, within the framework of the special program for the comprehensive development of the district, the necessary financial resources have been allocated and appropriate conditions created for the effective implementation of all planned tasks.
At the same time, certain shortcomings in the activities of responsible persons, organization leaders, and mahalla activists were noted. In particular, weak execution of work on the ground, inaccurate reporting, as well as insufficient levels of public amenities and employment measures were criticized.

In particular, shortcomings were criticized regarding the actual implementation of work in the mahallas, allowance of falsifications in the submitted reports, and insufficient measures for improvement and ensuring employment of the population. Responsible persons were warned, and instructions were given to apply disciplinary measures to some of them.
