The Karakalpakstan Delegation Made a Working Visit to the United Arab Emirates
The Karakalpakstan delegation headed by the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbaev, visited the United Arab Emirates on the instruction of our President.
As part of the visit, an initial meeting was held with Maryam Al-Mheiri, Executive Director of the company "2 Point Zero".
During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on the strong and steadily growing ties of friendship and close partnership established by our esteemed President and the leadership of the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting also highlighted the investment potential of Karakalpakstan, its economic indicators, and the favorable conditions created for the implementation of promising international projects.
The company, in turn, shared its experience in financial services, artificial intelligence technologies, key resources, digital transformation, and other areas, and put forward proposals for establishing cooperation.
The discussions also covered the possibility of conducting joint geological exploration at resource-rich sites across Karakalpakstan, ensuring environmentally safe development, organizing joint scientific research and academic exchange programs with universities and research institutions of both countries, as well as exploring untapped opportunities in the tourism sector of our republic.
Following this, meetings were held with representatives of “Burjeel Holdings” and “Life Pharma” companies.
During the discussions with representatives of “Burjeel Holdings,” one of the leading integrated non-governmental healthcare providers, issues related to organizing training for medical specialists, improving diagnostics, prevention, and healthcare coordination were addressed, as well as establishing experience exchange programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of local healthcare professionals.
Additionally, an agreement was reached to deliver mobile mammography units to Karakalpakstan aimed at early detection of breast cancer among women, and to equip local specialists with advanced expertise.
It is worth noting that in Nukus city, the "Ana hem Bala" clinic is being constructed with donor funding of 28 million dollars provided by the “Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan” Foundation of the United Arab Emirates. During the discussions, agreements were reached that after the clinic is commissioned, it will be managed by the “Burjeel Holdings” company.
During the meeting with representatives of Life Pharma, important issues were discussed, including the development of the pharmaceutical sector and the joint implementation of projects related to the processing of licorice root — one of the medicinal plants grown in Karakalpakstan with high international export potential. At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed to establish cooperation.
Several beneficial agreements were reached during the meetings, and important contracts were signed. Promising projects for cooperation were broadly discussed. The working visit to the United Arab Emirates continues.
