Opening Ceremony of the World and Asian Wrestling with Belts Championships Held

Today, at Sports School No. 1 in Nukus, the opening ceremony of the World and Asian Wrestling with Belts Championships among junior boys and girls for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Prize was held.

At the event, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbaev, gave a speech, congratulated all participants on the occasion of the competition's opening, and wished them success.

Afterwards, the sports competitions scheduled for the day began.

As noted, in recent years, under the leadership of our respected President, special attention has been given to the development of physical education and sports, the broad involvement of youth in sports, and the promotion of national sports alongside Olympic sports. Extensive measures are being implemented in this direction.

Certainly, holding such competitions plays an important role in promoting the sport of wrestling with belts in our country, as well as in developing champions and winners of international tournaments.

During the event, medals and valuable gifts were awarded to several young athletes who secured places among the winners in their respective weight categories.
