Press and Mass Media Workers’ Day Was Widely Celebrated
Today, a festive event was held at the Karakalpakstan Palace of Arts in honor of June 27 – Press and Mass Media Workers’ Day.
Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbaev, delivered a speech at the event and congratulated all attendees on the occasion of the holiday.
As noted, in recent years, under the leadership of our esteemed President, large-scale efforts have been made to ensure freedom of speech and information in our country, to fully support the activities of mass media, to appropriately recognize the dedication of industry professionals, to deliver accurate and reliable information to the public, and to widely promote the reforms being implemented across all sectors.
The creative work carried out by media professionals is highly valued, as they play a key role in conveying to the public the ongoing changes and updates in the socio-political and socio-economic life of our country. In particular, they help promote the efforts being made under the idea of "In the Name of Human Dignity," as well as explore the challenges and problems faced by our people, seeking constructive solutions and raising awareness among the wider community.
In honor of the professional holiday of media creators, journalists and media workers were awarded honorary titles such as "Honored Journalist of the Republic of Karakalpakstan," as well as the "Devoted to the Homeland" and "Spark of Hope" breast badges.
In addition, editorial offices of newspapers and magazines celebrating their anniversaries received computers, and a number of media workers and bloggers were presented with Certificates of Honor and valuable gifts.
The festive event continued with a concert program prepared by cultural and performing arts professionals.
