Issues of Socio-Economic Development of the Turtkul District Discussed

Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbaev, held a meeting in the Turtkul district with the participation of representatives of republican agencies and local activists.

The meeting addressed the implementation of the action program for the socio-economic development of the district, poverty reduction, employment promotion, implementation of investment projects, as well as the execution of tasks assigned during the previous meeting.

It was noted that a special program outlining a set of specific tasks has been approved to ensure the district’s comprehensive development. However, in some areas, the available opportunities are not being fully utilized.

In particular, criticism was expressed regarding the inadequate level of work in mahallas, landscaping activities, and efforts to provide employment for local residents. Responsible officials were warned, and disciplinary measures were instructed to be applied to some of them.

During the meeting, tasks requiring immediate action were identified, the need for their prompt implementation was emphasized, and instructions were given to apply disciplinary measures to officials showing negligence in their duties — up to and including considering their suitability for their current positions.
