Reconstruction of the Takhiatash–Ellikkala–Beruniy Bypass Road Discussed
Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, F. Ermanov, held a meeting with a delegation led by Inmin Yang, Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for South, Central, and West Asia.
At the beginning of the meeting, it was especially noted that in recent years, at the initiative of the esteemed President, large-scale projects have been implemented in our country to ensure the well-being of the population, and the successful cooperation with the Asian Development Bank in this direction was highlighted.
The meeting then discussed the project for the reconstruction of the A-380 international highway “Guzar–Bukhara–Nukus–Beyneu” along the sections passing through Amudarya, Beruniy, Ellikkala, and Takhiatash districts.
It should be noted that under this project, nearly 87 kilometers of the A-380 highway running through Karakalpakstan are planned to be reconstructed with ADB loan funds amounting to USD 233.1 million. In particular, the project envisions the construction of a new 75-kilometer bypass road (Takhiatash–Ellikkala–Beruniy) and the reconstruction of 12 kilometers of the existing A-380 route.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that projects implemented with the participation of the Asian Development Bank contribute to solving infrastructure challenges, strengthening the country’s economy, and improving the well-being of the population. It was also noted that cooperation with the bank will continue in the future.
