Comprehensive Development of Amudarya District Discussed

A meeting chaired by Amanbay Orynbaev, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, was held to address issues of the socio-economic development of the Amudarya district, employment of the population, implementation of tasks defined within state programs, fulfillment of necessary measures, and the progress of previously assigned tasks.

The meeting was attended by representatives of republican agencies and organizations, relevant ministries, district officials, and mahalla activists.

The session critically reviewed the implementation of instructions given during the previous meeting, including the improvement of mahallas, resolution of infrastructure problems, implementation of projects under state programs, creation of new production facilities, broad introduction of renewable energy sources, poverty reduction, and improvement of citizens’ living standards.

In addition, issues of supporting citizens in earning additional income, ensuring youth employment, developing entrepreneurship, providing practical support to enterprises, and improving banking services and market infrastructure were discussed.

It was also noted that some responsible officials show indifference to their duties in implementing these tasks. In this regard, their shortcomings were pointed out, and instructions were given to apply disciplinary measures to certain officials who had made mistakes and oversights in their work, and, if necessary, to consider their suitability for their current positions.
