Celebration in Honor of “Teachers and Mentors Day”
Today, a festive event dedicated to October 1 — Teachers and Mentors Day was held at the Palace of Arts of Karakalpakstan in Nukus.
Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbaev, congratulated the attendees on their professional holiday.
It was emphasized that under the leadership of the esteemed President, major achievements have been made in the development of the education sector. Continuing these noble efforts, the material and technical base of all educational and childcare institutions is being further strengthened.
In particular, this year, construction and reconstruction works are underway in 35 schools and 36 kindergartens with a total investment of 356 billion soums within various programs. Five dormitories with 2,150 places worth 145 billion soums have been commissioned at universities, and the international Cambridge program has been introduced in three schools. Of special pride is the fact that in the past three years, 20,000 additional university admission quotas have been allocated for young people of Karakalpakstan, with another 10,750 quotas provided this year alone.
These achievements were highlighted in detail during the celebration.
Later, by decision of the Presidium of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, a group of dedicated professionals were ceremoniously awarded honorary titles, badges, and commendation prizes.
The festive event concluded with a concert program featuring performances by artists and cultural figures.
