Study of Ongoing Development Efforts in Shumanay District
The Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orinbaev, reviewed the activities being carried out in Shumanay District aimed at improving the living conditions of the local population.
The visit began with an inspection of the construction of the new salt processing plant “Omad Suld”, which is being built in the territory of the Begjap Citizens’ Assembly. The Chairman issued specific instructions and set concrete tasks to ensure the enterprise’s timely commissioning.
He then familiarized himself with the construction progress of the Youth Park being developed in the Madaniyat mahalla as part of the Driver 24/7 project. The park will include cultural, recreational, and commercial areas for young people, as well as an open-air stage for hosting festive events and concerts.
The Chairman also visited the new multi-sector polyclinic complex of the district medical association, built in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 404 at a cost of 9.4 billion soums, and inspected the concrete lining works of internal irrigation canals and ditches.
In addition, he reviewed the activities of a newly established handicraft trading shop in the district center. Responsible officials were given concrete instructions to provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs and address any challenges they face.
To identify existing issues, a meeting was held with street leaders, during which they discussed matters requiring attention at the mahalla (community) level.
The visit concluded with a working session dedicated to the implementation of programs for the socio-economic development of the district, poverty reduction, employment creation, and the execution of investment projects.
