Ongoing Development Efforts in Nukus District Reviewed
Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orinbaev, visited the Nukus District to review ongoing development activities.
At the start of the visit, the Chairman inspected construction works in the central part of the district, where in the Akmangit mahalla, along the canal of the same name, a special service zone and a 24/7 trade and entertainment center “Xalq Sayili” are being built. The total cost of the project amounts to 6.6 billion soums, and it is aimed at creating comfortable living conditions for local residents.
Then visited a duck farming enterprise being established in the Samanbay mahalla, designed to create employment opportunities for youth. The project is expected to create 40 new jobs and will include duck breeding, egg production, and meat processing.
Afterward, a meeting was held with street leaders, respected elders, and community representatives, where they discussed the pressing issues faced by residents and identified priority tasks for the near future.
The visit concluded with a working meeting, during which matters related to improving living conditions, socio-economic development, implementation of state programs, and fulfillment of previously assigned tasks were critically and constructively discussed.
