The “Yashil Makon” Campaign Has Begun

On November 15 of this year, the autumn tree planting campaign was launched in the city of Nukus as part of the nationwide project “Yashil Makon”.

At the ceremony, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orinbaev delivered a speech in which he emphasized that each of us must contribute to the beautification of the country, the protection of the environment, and the creation of green spaces.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Council of Ministers F. Ermanov, heads of agencies and organizations, active youth, veterans, and representatives of the wider public.

It was noted that in recent years, under the leadership of our esteemed President, special attention has been paid to expanding green areas and improving the environmental situation in the country. As part of the nationwide “Yashil Makon” project, the planting of ornamental and fruit trees continues in all cities and districts.

During this autumn planting season, a total of 8,781,000 saplings of ornamental and fruit trees are planned to be planted, and “Green Public Parks” covering 19 hectares are to be established in the city of Nukus and district centers. More than 10 million saplings are currently being grown in nurseries to support the successful implementation of this initiative.

During today’s event, trees were planted at designated locations, accompanied by heartfelt wishes for prosperity and growth.
