As noted, under the leadership of the esteemed President, large-scale efforts are being implemented in the Aral Sea region to improve the living standards of the population, ensure environmental stability, and restore the local ecosystem.
During the esteemed President’s visit to the Republic of Karakalpakstan in 2022, priority tasks were identified for conducting ecological and scientific research in the Aral Sea region and for seeking effective solutions to existing problems. Based on these priorities, 17 projects totaling 15.7 billion soums were funded over the past years, and in the current year, 21 projects worth 57.1 billion soums are being implemented.
Among these projects, the station commissioned today holds particular significance. It will play an important role in effectively monitoring ecological restoration efforts, observing the growth of salt-tolerant plants, and conducting productive scientific research.
The new research station will serve not only the cause of environmental protection, but will also become a center for scientific and ecological studies in the region, making a valuable contribution to the sustainable development of the Aral Sea area.
